이우성(b.1983)은 홍익대학교 미술대학 회화과 학사 졸업 후 한국예술종합학교 조형예술학과 평면전공 전문사를 졸업했다. 작가는 “생활과 미술”이라는 주제로 드로잉, 회화, 애니메이션 등의 다양한 매체로 확장하여 그리기를 시도하고 있다. 어느 날 문득 삶의 주변에 자리했을 대상을 발견해 내는 것에서 시작하여 자신의 사적인 순간이 그림을 통해 또 다른 누군가의 기억에 닿아 연결되기를 기대한다.

Woosung Lee(b.1983) graduated with a BFA from the Department of Painting at Hongik University and an MFA from the Department of Fine Arts at Korea National University of Arts. His artwork is based on the theme of “life and art”, which he has expanded into various media such as drawing, painting, and animation. He starts by discovering objects that would have been on the periphery of his life one day, and hopes that intimate moments will touch and connect with someone else’s intimate moments through his paintings.
